"Calas Verdes"

Madnum also hosts spaces for Art. In its Central Plaza, you can admire the work of sculptor Pablo Serrano, "Calas Verdes". This new location has facilitated the restoration and new public exhibition of the sculpture.

This sculpture was commissioned by Lamela himself in 1962 for the lobby of a hotel, and was destroyed by its owner due to the controversy caused by its abstract nature at the time. In 1964, Lamela commissioned the same sculptural piece to grace the main entrance of the "Calas Verdes" development in the municipality of Mantiel, Guadalajara, where it remained until a few months ago. We are more than satisfied to be able to recover this part of the country's sculptural history, at Madnum.
